Music and Video: Tyr Jami
The music and video explore the transformative aspects of life, as reflected in nature. By observing our reality through different prisms shaped by our emotions, the video's shifting colours accentuate this process. The lyrics were written aboard a plane flying over Atlantic Canada and draw inspiration from emotional intelligence, well-being, and destiny.
Destiny is symbolized by images of orange and apple juice; the transformation of food into compost represents rebirth and metamorphosis. Waterfalls in pastel shades of pink, white, and blue reflect one another, like our relationships and the tenderness of a distant love. The ebbing tide echoes the lyrics: "Don't look back, it won't be the same, new structures replace the old...", like sandcastles built on the beach; the tide washes them away, death and regeneration.
