"Sleep Darling" (Live) Mtl, QC
Sleep Darling A remixed Icelandic folksong Sofðu Unga Ástin Mín, in 6 movements. Icelandic lullabies sung to children are often sad because they would be sung to babies who were brought out to nature to die. Every lullaby contains deep-rooted history and sometimes terrifying stories. Still sung to this day, they embody mournfulness and beauty, and the symbology pronounced in this work is an embrace to sacrifice and letting go, in order for magical new worlds to greet us.
